Taking care of your furniture

Our furniture is produced using the highest quality natural materials. Properly cared for it will develop its own unique depth of character and last for many years.

Our furniture products are finished using traditional methods and techniques and can be cared for by following these simple recommendations.

  • Wipe off any spill without delay.
  • Give your furniture an occassional application of good quality wax applied as directed by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use any wax containing silicones.
  • When cleaning glass panels use a damp cloth or leather.
  • Do not use substances containing an abrasive.
  • Occasionally apply a little 'candle wax' to moving parts such as drawers, table runners, catches, etc, this will ensure continued smooth operation.
  • Do not place hot dishes or wet cups, etc, directly on polished surfaces.
  • We recommend that you use table mats or coasters to protect polished tops.
  • Do not position furniture in permanent sunlight, this will cause timber movement and possible discolouration.
  • Do not stand your furniture close to radiators or other heat sources.
  • Do not store any pieces in damp or cold conditions.
